RELEASE OF THE GUTTA VISIR

13.12.2021

We are delighted to announce that our Lead Project Partner, Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) has developed the GUTTA tool for ferry eco-routes, which is called GUTTA-VISIR: https://www.gutta-visir.eu/

This is a milestone achievement of GUTTA!

GUTTA-VISIR also offers (presently) not existing routes (such as Zadar-Barletta) and it even contributes to SO3 "To facilitate the establishment of at least one new CB maritime link, after COVID-19 pandemic".

You may find the user's manual at: https://www.gutta-visir.eu/other/help

GUTTA-VISIR is not perfect, of course, and we are aware of a few bugs we still have to fix.

Please let us know your feedback, possibly through the dedicated section you can find on the web app: https://www.gutta-visir.eu/other/feedback

Mental Health Programme for Seafarers

23.03.2021

The Croatian Shipowners 'Association Mare Nostrum, in cooperation with the Croatian Seafarers' Union (SPH) and the Tesa Psychological Center, signed an Agreement to provide psychological assistance to seafarers.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we realized seafarers are in need for psychological help that will make it easier for them to stay on a ship in these uncertain times. Therefore, to all seafarers who sail on ships of the Association's members (Alpha Adriatic, Atlantska plovidba, Brodospas, Brodosplit, Jadranski pomorski servis, Jadrolinija, Jadroplov, Rapska plovidba, Tankerska plovidba), the Center will provide psychological assistance and support via electronic communication (telephone  and video calls). Every seafarer on board will be provided with the contact for communication directly with the Centre.  Identity of the seafarer who requested psychological assistance remains unknown to the Shipowner and Union. Everything will be based on anonymity.

Tesa's team of psychologists will provide psychological assistance in a way that encourages a healthier way of dealing with stress and anxiety, assertive and effective conflict resolution, and prevention of mental health related problems. We hope that this cooperation will help seafarers to overcome challenges , to realize that we are with them and appreciate all their efforts and work they are doing.
