Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we realized seafarers are in need for psychological help that will make it easier for them to stay on a ship in these uncertain times. Therefore, to all seafarers who sail on ships of the Association's members (Alpha Adriatic, Atlantska plovidba, Brodospas, Brodosplit, Jadranski pomorski servis, Jadrolinija, Jadroplov, Rapska plovidba, Tankerska plovidba), the Center will provide psychological assistance and support via electronic communication (telephone and video calls). Every seafarer on board will be provided with the contact for communication directly with the Centre. Identity of the seafarer who requested psychological assistance remains unknown to the Shipowner and Union. Everything will be based on anonymity.
Tesa's team of psychologists will provide psychological assistance in a way that encourages a healthier way of dealing with stress and anxiety, assertive and effective conflict resolution, and prevention of mental health related problems. We hope that this cooperation will help seafarers to overcome challenges , to realize that we are with them and appreciate all their efforts and work they are doing.
