PSAMIDES

Project description

PSAMIDES links two critical blue growth sectors: Ports and coastal & maritime tourism, which combined represent the 51% of GVA, 69% of jobs of profits of the total EU blue economy, stronglyconcentrated in MED area.

An important share oh MED tourism is channelled through Ports and concentrated in coastal areas. Yet, a particularity of the MED area is constellation of hundreds of Small and Medium sized Ports (SMP) that pay a fundamental role in articulating coastal & maritime tourism, connecting the hinterland anh the communities. SMP and linked touristic industries are the key factor of competitiveness in the MED area.

PSAMIDES objective is to optimize SMP operation and marine management by implementing innovative tools to manage tourism flows, better controlling costs, providing more services to costomers and stimulating Ports ecoinnovation, reducing environmental negarive externalities derived from tourist activity.
